INTERESTING SIGNS, SYMBOLS & SCRIBBLES I’VE ENCOUNTERED.  #4 OF WHO KNOWS HOW MANY

I’m fortunate to live in walking distance from the Fish Hoek traffic licensing department.  If the queues are too long, I retreat and live to fight another day.  Most, however, don’t have this luxury and have to stay and fight to the bitter end.  I’m sure one person in particular would have loved to take a line from Dante’s “Inferno” and spray-painted “abandon hope, all ye who enter here” in bright, bleeding scarlet over the entrance.  Instead, he contented himself with this desperate scribble on the toilet roll dispenser of the men’s loo, “4 hours waiting, one person working”.  It was conveniently located because it moved me to tears.

Walking & working towards Jesus' truth, life & community.
